Displaying Musical Instruments Around The Home [Home Décor Ideas]

Good Morning! Today I was meant to be traveling to Birmingham NEC to visit the Antiques For Everyone exhibition. But, that plan went straight out of the window due to an injured shoulder. I don’t think I could have managed all the driving today! It also means that the blog post I was hoping to write afterwards, showcasing the lovely items I could lust after but never afford, won’t be happening either. Bums.

So, I thought I’d write about something else that I’m passionate about instead. Anyone out there a music lover? Yeah, me too. In a past life I was a proper little punk. I played guitar and brass in a ska band, and spent most of my days either listening to or playing my own music, generally as loud as humanly possible! I’m glad to say my days of multi-coloured hair, checkered belts and head banging have for the most part ceased. But inside I’m still that little music nut, and our house is full of ukuleles, guitars and drums. And there’s got to be a better way of displaying these than leaving them to gather dust on a chair, or hiding in a cupboard. Why not incorporate them into your home décor? Your home should be a reflection of your personality, and your hobbies, so get creative!

Ukuleles Hung On Wall

In our own home, we’ve recently hung our Ukuleles on the living room wall. The brackets cost very little, and can be found here. Not only do they look lovely hanging in pride of place, it stops them getting knocked and encourages us to actually play them! I have a feeling they will be the start of a large collection…

There are so many other ways you can use instruments to brighten up and personalise your home. Here are some of my favourite ideas, I hope they inspire you to come up with your own.
